The final update

I have some not-so-great news to share.

After thinking about it for a while, I have decided to close down That New News.

It has not been a straightforward decision, but at this time, it is the right one.

This note is quite stoic because I’m not entirely sure what to say. I have stewed over the best way to share this for a while, and I can’t come up with anything that isn’t at least a little heartbreaking for me.

So I’ll just say this: This newsletter started in 2019 as a way to curate the news and make it readable, and I’d say we did that. I am thankful for that.

I am thankful to everyone who has subscribed, read, shared, volunteered, written, and even thought about this newsletter in any capacity. I appreciate everyone who donated when the donation links were up, and everyone who paid to attend an event we created.

I have also put together a list of news platforms I feel has everything you need — follow them on social media, read their websites, check out their YouTube (my personal list, nothing sponsored)
